Slash is a photo app for iPhone. Pick one of your photos and stack a few tags
(a camera angle, a lens, a light, a motion, a pose, a film look: /pov, /wide, /motionblur):
an AI image model makes a new shot of the same person in the same place,
photographed differently. No account.
Made by AI, not by a camera. A shot is a new image that an AI image model generates from your photo and your tags. It can be inaccurate: a face, clothes, a place or a detail may come out different from the original. It is not a real photograph, and it must not be presented as evidence of a real event.

Frequently asked
How does a shot work? Pick one of your photos and stack a few tags. The photo, resized, and the tags go over an encrypted connection to our server and on to our AI provider, whose image model makes the shot: the same person in the same place, photographed differently. A shot takes about half a minute. You can leave Slash in the meantime: the shot will be waiting when you come back, and if you allowed notifications, “Your shot is ready” tells you when. It waits on our server for 72 hours. Several takes of the same photo form a roll, and Slash can make a short before-and-after video of a shot, a reel.
Why was my photo refused? Our AI provider applies its own content rules and may refuse a photo or a request. Slash also needs a photo in which a person is easy to see. A refused photo doesn't use up a shot: pick another photo, or other tags, and try again. Photos must also follow the Terms: your own photos or photos of people who agreed, no photo of a minor without a parent's consent, and nothing sexual, hateful, violent or illegal.
How many shots do I have? During the onboarding, Slash makes one shot for free; it is shown blurred until you start the free trial. The free trial includes 5 shots. With the subscription you have 60 shots a week: the count starts again every Monday (00:00 UTC), and unused shots do not carry over. Slash's Settings shows how many you have left. A shot that fails or is refused is not counted.
How does the free trial work? The subscription starts with a 3-day free trial that includes 5 shots; Slash can remind you the day before it ends. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you are not charged; otherwise the weekly subscription starts when the trial ends. Apple decides who is eligible for a free trial. The price is shown in the app before you subscribe.
How do I cancel my subscription? In Slash, open Settings and tap Manage subscription, or on your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Slash. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date (or before the free trial ends) and you won't be charged again. Deleting the app, or deleting your data in it, does not cancel a subscription.
How do I restore my purchase? After reinstalling Slash or moving to a new iPhone, tap Restore purchase on Slash's first screen (or Restore on the subscription screen, or Restore purchases in Settings), signed in with the Apple Account you subscribed with.
Where are my photos and shots kept? On your iPhone: your rolls (the photos you picked and their shots) are stored in Slash, and a shot or a reel goes to your photo library only when you save it. On our server: the photo you send is deleted as soon as its shoot finishes, and the shot is kept for 72 hours so your iPhone can download it, then deleted. For a reel, the two pictures and the video are deleted from our server before it answers. Our AI provider handles your photo under its own terms for business customers. We do not use your photos to train anything. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data? In Slash, open Settings and tap Delete all my data. It needs a connection: it erases your rolls, your shots and your settings on this iPhone, and on our server it deletes what is linked to this iPhone, shots still waiting there included, or unlinks it (your usage records are anonymised); then Slash starts over as on its first launch. Shots already saved to your photo library stay there. Your subscription is not cancelled; tap Restore to get it back. What is erased and what is kept is detailed in the Privacy Policy.
