Effective date: October 13, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Slash mobile application (the “App”), published by Yacine Kahlis. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Shots are made by AI. They are not photographs. A shot is a new image that an AI image model generates from your photo and the tags you chose. It can be inaccurate: a face, a body, clothes, a place or a detail may come out different from the original. It does not show something that happened, and it must not be presented as a real photograph or as evidence of a real event.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Slash. You are responsible for the photos you submit, for the shots and reels you make from them, and for what you do with them, including where you post them and who you send them to.
You keep all your rights in the photos you submit; we claim none. When you submit a photo for a shot or a reel, you grant us a limited license to process it, and to have our AI provider process it, solely to provide the App's features to you. We do not use your photos to train anything. The shots and reels made from your photos are yours to use, subject to our AI provider's terms. How your photos are handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
A shot is generated by an AI image model from your photo and your tags: the same person in the same place, photographed differently. The result changes from one take to the next and can be wrong: the person may not look exactly like the original, and details may be added, changed or missing. Look at a shot before you save or share it. Our AI provider applies its own content rules and may refuse a photo or a request. A shot that is refused, or that fails, is not counted.
Fair-use limits apply to shots and reels, including the number of shots per trial and per week described below and a maximum number of requests in a short time. These limits keep the service available and its costs under control.
You agree to:
Your rolls (the photos you picked and their shots) and your settings are stored locally on your iPhone, as described in our Privacy Policy. Our server keeps a shot for 72 hours so that your iPhone can download it; a shot your iPhone has not downloaded by then is deleted and cannot be recovered. You are responsible for keeping your own device backups; we cannot recover data that is lost when a device is lost or reset, when the App is deleted, or when you use Delete all my data, which cannot be undone.
The App, including its design, artwork, text, and code, is owned by Yacine Kahlis and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the App on your Apple devices; they do not transfer any ownership to you.
Slash is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Apple, Instagram, TikTok or any other service it works with or lets you share to. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including from what a shot or a reel shows or from what you do with one, or for any indirect or consequential damages. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it.
We may suspend or terminate access to the App's shooting features if you violate these Terms. You can stop using the App at any time; deleting it from your iPhone removes your rolls and your settings from it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the place where you live.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
